The Max Hospital here is observing a week long Infection prevention workshop. The programme was inaugurated by Medical Advisor and Director MIND, Max Hospital, Dr. A. K. Singh. The programme is being organized by Hospital Infection Control Committee and Department of Microbiology. The Infection Control Officer and Associate Consultant Microbiology and Organizing Secretary, Dr Ankit Khanduri said that the Goal behind this event is to spread awareness regarding various infection control practices especially hand hygiene among healthcare workers.
Various activities like interactive lecture from specialists, games and competitions are part of the week long programme. He said that infection control in a healthcare facility is the prevention of the spread of microorganisms from patients to patients, patient to staff and the other way round.
