Bids will be invited from companies by the Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority for drafting the zonal development plan of the Dehradun Masterplan 2025 (amended). This and other decisions were taken in the 86th board meeting of the MDDA held in Dehradun on Tuesday.
During the board meeting chaired by the MDDA chairman CS Napalchyal, the Rs11,021.08 lakh budget for financial year 2014-15 was approved unanimously. Approval was also granted to transfer upto 90 per cent of compounding charge collected on unauthorised constructions into the infrastructure fund for 2014-15. Following deliberations on drafting of the zonal development plan for Dehradun Masterplan 2025 (amended), the additional secretary, Finance and board member, Arunendra Chauhan said that getting this done from a single source would be improper so it was decided that bids would be invited for this work and that the data collected in the past survey would be incorporated in the tender process. Regarding the
implementation of sixth pay commission for temporary workers in the MDDA, directions were given for finalising this task as the additional chief secretary has already issued an order on this proposal. The board also approved the proposed purchase of two vehicles for the authority.
MDDA vice-chairman R Meenakshi Sundaram, Dehradun district magistrate BVRC Purushottam, MDDA secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, Town and Rural Planner Vijay Pal Sharma, board members Mangesh Kumar and Pradeep Goel were also among those present in the board meeting.
