A person, who allegedly murdered his father-in-law on Friday night, has been arrested by the police on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Deepnagar resident Bhim Singh. The accused Deepak Chaudhary, native of Meerut was living in Pithuwala for many years. He was sent to Sudhowala jail by an order of court, said Nehru Colony Police Station in-charge Praveen Koshiyari while talking to The Pioneer on Saturday. Police received information that a body was lying in a pool of blood in Deepnagar area on Friday night. Police reached the spot and admitted Bhim Singh in Doon Hospital where he was declared dead by doctors at 4.30 am on Saturday. The accused admitted his offence and said that he killed his father-in-law with stones because he was abusing him. Both were under the influence of alcohol at the time of incident.
