The flag of the Rashtriya Mahila Congress was launched by the state unit of Mahila Congress at the state party office on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the former chief minister, member of Congress working Committee ( CWC) and Assam in- charge of the party, Harish Rawat said that the flag symbolises women empowerment. He suggested that maximum number of women in the state should get linked with the Shakti App. The president of the state Mahila Congress, Sarita Arya said that the women party workers would ensure that the flag is recognised at the booth level. She further said that Uttarakhand stands in fifth position in terms of Shakti App in the country which is a proof of hard work of the women party workers of the state. Senior Congress leaders Govind Singh Kunjwal, state vice- president Surya Kant Dhasmana and Dehradun Mahanagar president Lal Chand Sharma were among those present on the occasion.
