The locals of Munsyari informed Uttarakhand Governor Krishan Kant Paul about the problems being faced in the area on his arrival at Munsyari. The members of the Malla Jauhar club informed him about issues including need for appointing lady doctor and other doctors at the hospital being run on PPP mode in Munsyari, offering BSc in the degree college and appointment of lecturers, posting of teachers for improving level of education and improvement of telecommunication facilities in the area.
Regarding the medical facilities in the area, Paul directed Pithoragarh district magistrate Sushil Kumar to prepare a team of doctors including a lady doctor with a van to conduct medical camps. He also directed the DM to prepare a plan for facilitating loans to locals for boosting local produce and provision of bazars for maketing the produce. He also directed the district administration to make arrangements for transporting local handicraft items to outside the district in order to boost local crafts.
