local student activist group presents dossier to Tourism Secretary

PNS

local student activist group Making ‘A Difference by Being the Difference’ (MAD) met the Tourism Secretary Dilip Javalkar and submitted a dossier on the state of the Rispana valley on Thursday. The meet held at secretariat  focused on the group's demand that accountability should be fixed to ensure the sanitation of the upper Rispana valley so that even that stretch of Rispana river does not become like the downstream stretch of the river in the city.

MAD members pointed out that due to the beauty of Rispana valley, many people-especially youngsters have started visiting the area. However, many visitors litter the place with empty beer cans and various types of plastic waste in the Rispana valley without caring for the ecological cost of their actions.

MAD founding member Abhijay Negi said, “The problem is further escalated because neither the Gram Sabha nor the municipal corporation owns up to the onus to ensure the sanitation of the area.
