Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecasted very light to light rain/thunderstorm/snow at a few places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pithoragarh districts and at isolated places in rest of Uttarakhand on Sunday. The Met office has released warning as thunder squall at isolated places during next 36 hours.
However, the Doon residents experienced a warm day on Saturday with the sky remaining cloudy and the level of humidity rising.
The centre director Bikram Singh said that the weather forecast for Dehradun on Sunday is generally cloudy sky. Thunder cloud development/very light rain is likely to occur in some areas on Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 32ºC and 17ºC, respectively in Dehradun on Sunday, he added.
Singh informed that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 34.6ºC and 18.9ºC in Dehradun while it was 23.5ºC and 15.3ºC in Tehri, 25.2ºC and 12.1ºC in Mukteshwar and 33.6ºC and 15.0ºC in Pantnagar on Saturday.
The Met office has forecast generally cloudy sky and light rain/thunderstorm/snow at many places in Uttarakhand on March 28. Dry weather is likely to prevail in Uttarakhand from March 29, he added.
