In lake city Nainital, most of the day was largely cloudy though the morning hours saw some light sunlight providing some relief to the people from the cold.

It has been getting colder during the daytime following the recent snowfall and with more snow and rain forecast in the coming days, the chill is likely to intensity in the coming days. However, the cold did not deter the tourists who arrived at Nainital on the weekend in order to visit areas which received snowfall. While some were interested in visiting areas covered by snow, a considerable number of visitors indulged in shopping in the various markets of the town much to the satisfaction of the business fraternity.
