The Meteorological Centre has forecast very light to light rain/snow at isolated places across Uttarakhand on Tuesday. Shallow fog/mist is likely to appear in the plains too. Besides, ground frost is likely to occur at some places in the hills the same day.
The Met officials attributed this to western disturbances, predicting that things would see a dip in mercury in the coming days.
Met director Bikram Singh said that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.7 ºC and 7.1ºC in Dehradun while 14.6ºC and 3.5ºC in Tehri, 14.4ºC and 3.1ºC in Mukteshwar and 22.5 and 5.0ºC in Pantnagar on Monday. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Tuesday is partly cloudy sky. Thunder cloud development/very light rain is likely to occur towards the evening/night hours in some areas on Tuesday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 22 ºC and 07 ºC respectively in Dehradun on Tuesday, he added.
