A labourer working in a construction company in Sitarganj in Udham Singh Nagar district was electrocuted to death on Saturday morning. The construction company in which the deceased worked allegedly tried to suppress the accident and the resultant death.
It is learnt that Bareilly resident Makrub Khan (22) was working in an under- construction school building in the industrial area.
On Saturday morning, he accidentally came into contact with a live electricity wire and was electrocuted.
The shock of the contact was such that he died on the spot.
Other workers alleged that the construction company had initially tried to suppress the death.
“However, the family members soon came to learn what happened.
They rushed to the spot and took the body for cremation,” one of the workers said.
