Chief Minister Harish Rawat’s media in-charge Surendra Kumar has lambasted the statement made recently by BJP leader Satpal Maharaj. In a statement issued on Monday, Kumar said that Maharaj should first speak on BJP MlAs and leaders raising the poly-house issue and preventing the Vidhan Sabha to function for two days. The allegations leveled by the BJP leaders against Maharaj and his wife on the poly-house issue were also not withdrawn.
Kumar said that Maharaj should first seek a certificate from the BJP leaders to ascertain that the allegations they had leveled on him were incorrect. He stated, “As far as the NITI Aayog is concerned, Maharaj should know that the the NITI Aayog sub group which held a meeting does not have the Uttarakhand chief minister as its member due to which he was not called to the meeting. Maharaj is close to the Prime Minister and should learn from him as to who all are members of the NITI Aayog sub group. If he does this he would not have to make incorrect statements.
