As part of election campaign for the ensuing 16th lok Sabha election, BJP candidate from Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar constituency Bhagat Singh Koshiyari has visited many parts of the constituency including Sitpuri, Bannakhera, Kharnasa, Guljarpur, Dhakiya on Thursday.
Interacting with his supporters on the way, Koshiyari also held many street corner meetings and urged the people to extend their support to him in the upcoming lok Sabha elections.
During his interactions, Koshiyari said that today people of this country definitely needed a change as they were fed up with the Congress-led Central as well as State Governments. He also urged people to extend their support to the BJP and strengthen BJP ‘s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s hands in these elections.
He said former Prime Minister of India lal Bahadur Shastri gave the slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, but today kisan and jawan have been pushed on the margin in the society under this Congress led UPA regime.
Besides, the unprecedented level of inflation, unemployment and poverty have only added to the woes of the people. Only the BJP can come as a better alternative to resolve the concerns of the people of this country, he added.
