The irate family members of a woman Kiran Joshi, who died due to the alleged negligence of the hospital staff, staged a protest in the Government Shushila Tiwari Hospital on Tuesday. She was admitted at the emergency ward of the State-run hospital after she received injuries from an accident that occurred on Tuesday. The family members of the deceased alleged that no doctor was available to take care of the injured woman till 2 pm. With her condition worsening, the husband of the woman Tara Joshi, who is also a local media representative, informed the principal of the Government Shushila Tiwari Hospital.However, by the time the hospital doctors reached, Kiran Joshi had died.
They alleged that the doctors left immediately after she died. With the situation turning tense, Haldwani police stepped in. The Government Shushila Tiwari Hospital administration also assured the bereaved relatives of the deceased of a fair inquiry into the death. City Magistrate Haldwani RD Paliwal also reached the site and promised action in the case.
