Kho-kho and kabaddi matches in the women’s open were held on Tuesday as part of the State level rural sports competition organised here as part of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan Yojana by the Youth Welfare and Prantiya Rakshak Dal department. The competition being played on league cum knockout basis saw 13 teams divided into four groups. In kho-kho competition, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Pauri entered the knockout round in groups one, two, three and four respectively.
In the kabaddi matches, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Tehri entered the knockout stage in groups one, two, three and four respectively. The semi-final and final will be held on Wednesday.
