Kaddukhal crawls

PNS

While the State Government continues to harp on its efforts towards developing road network and other facilities to capitalise on the scope for varied tourism activities including ‘religious tourism’, the situation in Kaddukhal on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra presented a picture of stark contradiction of the Governmental claims. Due to collective anomalies in regulation of traffic and lack of adequate parking facility at Kaddukhal, the condition of traffic remained congested throughout most of the day.

Apart from the spike in pollution generated by vehicular emissions and noise pollution resulting from varied factors including absence of traffic regulation, many of the devotees had to face some inconvenience in order to reach the shrine. Such was the disorder affecting the situation that vehicle users had to drive some kilometres further to use any available space for parking their vehicles.
