The armed forces veterans would now be able to get super specialty medical treatment at Mahant Indiresh Hospital here as it has got empanelment under ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) for these services also.
A Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) for these services was signed between the Defence Ministry and Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital on Thursday. The hospital authorities claimed that both Speciality and Super-speciality services will be now available with facility of cash-less treatment for ex-servicemen under ECHS.
The Additional Medical Superintendent, Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. V.K. Bihari informed that under ECHS the services of Cardiology, Cardiac Cath lab, Cardiac Surgery ,C.T.V.S., Plastic Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neuro-Surgery, Neuro Medicine, Breast, Endocrine Surgery, Urology, Nephrology, Paediatric Surgery would be available. He said that the ex servicemen were demanding this facility from a long period of time.
