In a case of alleged crime, the in-laws first murdered a housewife and later had the body burnt. The incident occurred under Jwalapur Police Station area. The Haridwar police said that complainant Amit Kumar, resident of Jwalapur and father of the deceased, had alleged foul play. He stated that his daughter Reetu had been done in first and later burnt by her in-laws to suppress the crime. Taking cognisance of this, a case (FIR: 43/2015) under section 302/201 of IPC was registered in Jwalapur Police Station. Teams have been formed and they are investigating the case, said sources.
