The IMS University celebrated its second foundation day on Thursday. Speaking at a programe organised to mark the day, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, DK Bandhopadyaya, claimed that the university would soon become a brand in the education sector. He said that foundation day was the most important day for any university and it should be celebrated with full vigour and enthusiasm by the students and faculty members.
The chief guest of the occasion was Resident Director of PHD Chamber of commerce and Industries Uttarakhand Anil Taneja. The ceremony started with formal ligting of lamp. The university flag was hoisted by the Vice Chancellor of IMS Unison University. The students of various school of the university carried out a spectacular march past.
The students performed a cultural programme on the occasion. The meritorious students of all the courses of the university were also felicitated with prizes and certificate of merit by the Vice-Chancellor and chief guest. The programme was attended by Pro Chancellor MP Jain, Pro Vice Chancellor Vijiyan Imanuel, Registrar BB Pant, Deans of various Schools of the university and other dignitaries.
