The development left the state government red-faced while BJP leaders boasted of their success to have their issues forcing their ways into public notice. The BJP insiders said they had firmed up the ‘operation’ at a secret meeting held at the state party office.
Observers say the intelligence failing to size up things has brought ignominy for the state police. “Maybe, they did not take things seriously,” one of the observers said.
