Headless body: Cops yet to make headway

PNS

Those living in the cantonment area in Dehradun should call the Military Police whenever they face any threat or law and order problem and not the police.

This is the view considering the opinion of police officers who state that the army is responsible for the security in the area from where the headless and naked body of a young woman was discovered. Dehradun police have yet to make any kind of headway in the case of the headless and naked body of a woman aged around 25 years found near army family residences about a kilometre from Raj Bhawan and Chief Minister’s residence under Cantt Police Station on Wednesday.

This has raised question about level of security in the VVIP area. The body has not been identified so far. Cantt Police Station in charge VK Jetha said that Police team has been deployed at various places including Himachal Pradesh to know about this woman’s identity. This case has also been investigated by Dehradun homicide squad.

It may be mentioned here that police were informed by two rag pickers named Kunti and Sarita who found a sack with the body in the forest area.
