HC rejects UFDC plea on recruitment issue

PNS

The High Court of Uttarakhand in Nainital has rejected the special appeal filed by the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation  in the case of the stay ordered earlier by the High Court on recruitment procedure in the corporation. The division bench of the High Court headed by the Chief Justice, rejecting the special petition, told the corporation to file an appeal in the single bench of the high court on Friday.

It is pertinent to mention here that single bench of the High Court of Uttarakhand had ordered a stay on the procedure of appointment to 200 posts including that of the logging officer in the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. Challenging the stay on the appointment process, the corporation approached the High Court division bench comprising chief justice KM Joseph and justice Alok Singh. The corporation had stated in its submission to the division bench that the said procedure of appointment to 200 posts in the corporation is in accordance with the regulations. After hearing the petition submitted by the corporation, the division bench rejected the same and told the State Government and Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation to once again submit an appeal to the single bench of the high court. It will be recalled that the procedure of appointment to 200 posts in the forest development corporation was slated to begin on November 26 with a company based in Delhi being authorised to execute the same.
