On the eve of 16th State foundation day, Uttarakhand Governor Dr KK Paul has categorically said that the day gives us an opportunity to review our journey since November 9, 2000, when the State came into existence as a separate State from Uttar Pradesh, about what we achieved and prepare our strategy to meet our upcoming challenges.
This is a fact that Uttarakhand has done very well if we make comparison with other States. One thing is also true that the State has received severe dents due to natural calamities which have slowed down our pace of development. But the fact that the people of Uttarakhand have faced all the calamities head on hence the State residents deserve a lot of appreciation.
As we know that we can’t achieve any desire result without education. Educated society can face challenge successfully and make planning for the future as well.
For this we will have to develop our government school at par by providing right teacher and better infrastructure as well. Along with school education there is tremendous scope for development in higher education and technical education as well. To make our your youth self dependent we will have to impart education for the skill development and women should be given first priority in education because education women make entire family educated.
To ensure development of the state there is need to provide better and transparent administration. We can achieve this by adopting information technology more and more. We will have to provide maximum service to the people thorugh online connectivity. As we know that our prime minister has given slogan of Digital india. Uttarakhand has established Devbhoomi Jansewa Kendra under the project of National E-governance scheme. To address public grievance we have launched Samadhan and Sewa portal. This is very noble steps but we will have to carry these service with more sincerity so that we can develop as model state in better and transparent administration.
