The Governor of Uttarakhand, Dr Aziz Qureshi, has congratulated the people of the State on the eve of the State’s 14thfoundation anniversary to be observed on Sunday. In his message released here on Saturday, he said he is praying for the all-round development of the State and the happiness of the people.
“We all have to work together to ensure development in all the sectors and spheres of the State’s collective life. We must work with a mission to build up a society where there is no discrimination on the basis of caste, community and creed, where all live and thrive as one people, untroubled by artificial distinctions that tend to divide the people and bog them in hide-bound compartments. We must work hard to ensure the fruits of development trickle down to the poorest of the poor section of the society. We must toil together so that we can contribute our mite in wiping off tears from the eyes of the hapless and the unprivileged. We must build our State in such a way so that others in the world would emulate us,” he said.
