Gurukul Kangadi University observed ‘Swami Shraddhanand Sacrifice Day’ in the university premises on Tuesday.
The function started with the ‘hawan’ done at Amrit Vatika followed by flag hoisting. Thereafter, a huge rally was taken out by the students of the university, showcasing the aims and objectives behind the establishment of the university and Arya Samaj. The rally started from the main gate of the university campus. It made a round from Ranipur Chowk and ended at Swami Dyanand Stadium. Thousands were present at the stadium on the occasion. The gathering was addressed by several eminent persons, including Acharya Ram Prakash, Chancellor of the Gurukul Kangadi University and Surender Kumar, its Vice- Chancellor.
Baba Ramdev also addressed the gathering as a special guest. He dwelt on the achievements by the followers of Arya Samaj. He paid his tribute to SSwami Shraddhanand. In course of his speech, he hinted about the formation of a new board which will blend fastest Information technology and Vedic knowledge together.
