PNS

The Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh (RSS), association of lecturer and lecturer teachers (lTs) of Government schools has refused to follow the dress code imposed by the education department. The powerful organization of teachers has made it clear that the dress code would be followed only when the state government provides monetary allowance for it.

On Sunday an emergency meeting of the state executive body of the association was convened. The general secretary of the association, Sohan Singh Majila said that the members were unanimous on that the department should provide allowance for the proposed dress code. He said that the association demands that the all forms of transfers should start. On the orders of the education minister the education department had recently halted the process of transfers. In the meeting it was also decided that the organisational elections of the association would be held soon. The tough stand taken by the association on the issue of dress code has put the teachers in confrontation mode with department. The dress code for teachers is brain child of education minister Arvind Pandey.

As per the code the male teachers would have to wear dark sky blue shirt and steel grey trouser in the schools while female teachers would wear Sky blue Sari or Salwar suit.
