Govt rubbishes talk of crisis in State Cong

PNS

Acting on the Congress MlA Mayukh Mahar’s allegation that the State Government is not executing the sanctioned water supply projects in Pithoragarh district, the State Government has allocated Rs 200 crore to the department concerned and instructed them to expedite the execution of the work. This was disclosed by the State Government’s media in-charge Surendra Kumar while interacting with the media at secretariat on Wednesday.

Replying to the BJP allegation that the State Government is facing constitutional crisis because the ruling party MlAs are up in arms against the State Government, Kumar said that they seem to be unaware of what constitutional crisis implies. Dr Nishank is using such tricks to divert the attention of the party high command from the series of electoral drubbings for BJP. This is also a diabolical ploy on the part of the wily politician to shift attention from the BJP’s internal conflict.

Kumar further alleged that when Dr Nishank was in-charge of the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra in 2000, he could not move ahead of Deval. But now he managed to reach Vedini Bugyal. It means that the State Government has provided better infrastructure this time as compared to 2000 yatra.

As far as the Congress MlAs’ venting displeasure is concerned, the Chief Minister had convened a meeting with the officials and instructed them to release funds for the execution of the sanctioned projects. In this regard, the State has allocated Rs 200 crore. During the meeting, the CM instructed them to find out solution for the problems revenue department employees, especially Amin (who maintains land record), keep facing. Even Peyjal Nigam and Peyjal Sansthan were asked to expedite their construction work because after a month or so, snowfall would start and work will automatically slow down.

Kumar also alleged that when the Malpa incident had happened in 1998, both the UP and the Union Governments were under the BJP. The people got the information about the accident after three days, he said.
