Due to the callous approach of the State Government, Peyjal Nigam has started incurring loss, this was claimed by Santosh Rawat, State president, Rajya Nigam Karamchari Mahasangh in a press conference held at State party office in Dehradun on Monday.
He claimed that Nigam was profitable venture before the formation of Uttarakhand in 2000. After expressing his concern over the lack of vision of the State Government for not pushing the Nigam on the path of development, Rawat has alleged that the loss of the department has been increasing year after year. According to Rawat, the financial condition of the department could be easily gauzed by the fact the employees of the department do not receive salary and other perks on time.
Rawat said that the former Uttarakhand chief secretary Indu Kumar Pandey was also in the favour to declare Nigam as the Government department but the State Government is yet to take effective steps for redressing the grievances of the employees.
He cleared that the if the State Government does not take effective steps for redressing the grievances of the employees then they will surely hit the roads in support of their pending demands.
