The Bhoomi Pujan for the Vidhan Sabha building at Gairsain’s ‘Bhararisain’ was presided over by the Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Govind Singh Kunjwal, in the company of MP Satpal Maharaj, Tourism Minister Amrita Rawat, Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Dr Anusuya Prasad Maikhuri, MlAs Rajendra Singh Bhandari and Dr Jeet Ram.
Addressing the gathering, Kunjwal said the Government’s wish has been fulfilled today. The Vidhan Sabha building would also generate employment opportunities for the youth of the region. He said that the construction agency has asked for a period of 18 months to finish the construction work on the Vidhan Sabha building. He extended his gratitude to the Government for conceding the demand of the public at last. On the occasion, Govind Singh Kunjwal released the books on development published by the Information Department of the State.
In his address Satpal Maharaj pointed out at present, the Vidhan Sabha sessions were held at two places in States like Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh. He also added all political parties ought to come forward and demand speedy implementation of railway projects. He said that this was a matter of public interest – it would not only create employment opportunities but also allow goods to be sent properly to the plains. Tourism Minister Amrita Rawat, Dr AP Maikhuri, Rajendra Singh Bhandari, Dr Jeet Ram and lalit Farswan voiced their opinion on the occasion.
