The Vice Chancellor of the GB Pant University of Agriculture and technology, Mangla Rai inaugurated the software of Integrated University Management system at Pantnagar on Wednesday.
The system would ensure that all information of the university is available online. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the employees and the students can avail all information online with the help of the system and they would not have to visit the offices of the university now.
Rai said that the system would be beneficial for all and would ensure total transparency in the system. Terming the online system as new mile stone for the university he hoped that the university would become trendsetter for other universities.
The financial controller of the university, Pankaj Tiwari said that National Information Centre (NIC) has developed the software and 19 modules are included in it initially.
He said that the every employee of the university can check his/her complete status on the system. Tiwari said that the budget of every department would be separated online from now.
The project manager NIC, Ravi Sharma said that the software include Pay roll, human resource, budget allotment, court cases, letter monitoring, payments, assess , cash receipt, research automation, farm management, employee corner and many other facilities.
