The State Government will attempt to develop a pollution free smart township. The level of noise pollution at Mukteshwar and Gairsain-Bharadisain will be mitigated and if possible these places will be declared horn-free. Chief Minister Harish Rawat said this after releasing Dr Manmohan Panwar’s book "Noise Policy of Uttarakhand" here on Monday. Stressing on the importance of public awareness for pollution control, Rawat said that noise pollution is a silent killer and needs to be considered seriously.
