Speaking on the occasion, the cabinet minister and local MlA Indira Hridayesh focused on the necessity of a healthy environment. She said, “Humans have now polluted air and water for their selfish gains. Rising industrialisation and plastic have exerted a detrimental effect on the environment. The future of coming generations would be more uncertain if necessary action is not taken now to protect the environment. It is the duty of every individual to keep one’s surroundings clean and give up the use of plastic as much as possible,” she stressed.
