Members of the families of the naxals who are roaming around and are a force to reckon with are not shy of sharing shoulders with those families which bore the brunt of extremism in the past as on Friday ten families of the top naxals holding rank of sub zonal commander sat with the naxals’ victim families in latehar who found less to disagree that extremism would deliver no good to any side said SP latehar Anoop Birtharey.
Birtharey said there came 30 to 40 families which are the victims of naxals violence. These members showed stoic endurance of pain as naxals’ violence had completely changed the face and economy of their families added BIrtharey.
These victim families showed no ill will or malice to ten other families which are of the active naxals like that of Ravinder, Shivpal, Pappu lohra Ravinder Ganjhu Chhotu Kharwar Sandeep etc said SP latehar.
Sandwiched between the two were families of the jawans and officials of the police who laid down their lives combating extremists and these families too shared their pain and sufferings with each other on the Commemoration Day observed in latehar on Friday.
Sources said the Simdega police in Jharkhand has shown the way to bring the families of the perpetrators of violence in the name of extremism and the victims of extremism be it in uniform or in civilian clothes on one platform.
Birtharey said in such a session reason prevails upon any burst of anger as three sides victim jawans’ families, families of civilians which became victims of naxals violence and families from where went out naxals carrying gun and powder did not grind teeth against each other but felt deep within that welfare lies in peace and in main stream of life.
Sources said latehar police staged this show when they commemorated its slain jawans.
