Coming down heavily on two senior officers of education department for failing to join their duties after transfer, the Director General (DG) of School education, D Senthil Pandian has suspended Jagmohan Soni and Atul Semwal. Soni was District Education Officer (DEO) of Haridwar and was transferred to Bageshwar as DEO while Semwal Officiating as DEO Secondary of Tehri and was transferred as Block Education Officer (BEO) of Tharali, Chamoli. The department had transferred some senior officers and posted then as DEO and BEOs. The transfer order clearly stated that the officers should join there new places of postings in seven working days. These two officers however defied the order following which Soni was relieved on August 08 while Semwal was relieved on August 13. The department constituted an inquiry in the matter.
