For the conduct of the three-tier panchayat election, Dehradun District Election Officer and District Magistrate Dr BVRC Purushottam appointed in-charge officers and assistant in-charge officers on Thursday. The Dehradun Senior Superintendent of Police, Ajay Rautela, has already directed the circle officers to initiate effective measures to lower down the sensitivity of those polling centres which were categorised as sensitive and ultra sensitive in the las panchayat election in the district.
Purushottam said that as per the direction of State Election Commission, the different department officers have been appointed as in-charge officers and assistant in-charge officers to complete the election on schedule.He directed in-charge and assistant in-charge officers to ensure that all the election related works are completed within the stipulated time. These officers were directed to convene review meeting with their subordinates periodically and submit the progress report on election related works to the district election officer.
Chief Development Officer Alok Kumar Pandey was appointed as deputy district election officer and nodal officer for three tier panchayat election. He will be assisted by Chakrata and Kalsi Sub-divisional magistrate Ashok Kumar Pandey, Vikasnagar SDM Arvind Pandey, SDM (Civil) Mohan Singh Barnia and SDM Rishikesh, Santosh Kumar Pandey in the panchayat polls duty.
Additional DM Pratap Singh Shah was appointed as in-charge officer (personnel) and will be assisted by district education officer Parmendra Saklani, Economics and Statistic officer, Statistic Directorate Nirmal Shah.City magistrate Girish Chandra Gunwant was made in-charge officer (police force) and Commandant Home Guard Rahul Sachan was made assistant in charge (police force).
DIO, NIC Dehradun Ratan Singh has been appointed as in-charge officer (personnel computerisation) and Rohit Chandra, ADIO, NIC Dehradun was made assistant in-charge officer (personnel computerisation). Additional Project director DRDA Sanjeev Rai was appointed in-charge officer (ballot paper) and MDDA executive engineer Anil Tyagi was made assistant in charge officer (ballot paper).Chief Education Officer, Dehradun, SP Khali has been appointed in-charge officer (training) and district Panchayat Raj officer MM Khan and block education officer UD Goswami has been made assistant in charge officer (training).
SDM Chakrata/Kalsi Ashok Kuma Pandey, SDM Vikasnagar, Arvind Pandey,ADM (Civil) Mohan Singh Barnial and SDM Rishikesh, Santosh Kumar Pandey were made in-charge officer (polling centre), in-charge officer (voters' list), in-charge officer (all arrangements at strong room and counting venues) while BDO Chakrata Jaipal Singh, BDO Kalsi BC Khanduri, BDO Vikasnagar Hari Singh Adhikari, BDO Sahaspur, Dhami lal Koshwal, BDO Raipur, Suman Kotiyal, BDO Doiwala, Savitri Rawat were made assistant in-charge officers.
Police stations in-charge have been made co-incharge officers (strong room) in their respective areas. Regional Transport officer PC Pathoi has been made in-charge officer (Transport) while Nayab Tehsildar Dehradun Amrita Sharma, assistant RTO, Dehradun, Sandeep Saini, senior supply inspector MN Pant have been made assistant in-charge officers (Transport).
