The Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University has completed preparations to hold its BEd examinations from April 16 for 1,618 students. Answer sheets and examination material have already been sent to the 27 examination centres of the university. Due to negligence of the institutions affiliated with the university, the BEd examinations have not been conducted for more than a year. In the interests of the students, the university finalised its decision to hold the BEd exams from April 16. Two flying squads of five members were formed to check the use of unfair means during the exams.
The students can procure their admission card three days before the exam date. The university vice chancellor and registrar would also conduct surprise inspections of the examination centres. The examinations will be conducted in a single shift a day from 11 am to 2 pm. Bisht informed that after completion of the written examinations, the practicals would begin from May 6 in the BEd institutions.
One team will inspect the examination centres in the mountainous regions while the other team will inspect the centres in the plains. The university administration has also written to the Principal Secretary, Home, asking the police and administration of districts concerned be directed to make necessary arrangements for the exam at their level. On the directions of the university vice chancellor Dr US Rawat, the registrar in-charge Hansraj Bisht recently chaired a meeting to review the arrangements for the examinations.
