ESPEE Global School's unique plan to develop leadership skills in children

PNS

To develop the diminishing art of asking questions and bring back childhood in children, the ESPEE Global School located at Roorkee is collaborating with International Baccalaureate Organisation Geneva, Switzerland to start a unique PYP programme.

This programme aims to develop student leadership skills and focuses on the student to develop the habit of asking questions and critical thinking. The programme would change the prevailing concept of not challenging the teachers — as they are rated a step above god — and blindly following what the books state. It would also develop independent thinking in the children and would try to take them out of the stereotyped individuality which makes them wary of asking questions as they adopt a life which makes them scared at schools, offices and in life. The programme also claims to alter the perception of the parents about the education as they have misinterpreted the education. These parents think that getting good marks, grades and jobs is the only objective of the education and in that pursuit, they invariably snatch the childhood from their children.
