In view of the tourist season drawing near, Nainital district administration has asked the officials concerned to take necessary steps to ensure parking facilities and regulate vehicular traffic in the lake city, Nainital.
Reviewing the preparations in Nainital on Tuesday, Deepak Rawat, District Magistrate, Nainital, said ensuring smooth flow of traffic and better parking facilities is a challenge.
Therefore, all the officials concerned are supposed to be prepared to ensure them to spare the tourists problems on these counts.
At the same time, he asked the officials concerned not to allow parking on Mall Road in Nainital during the tourist season. The parking facilities will be made at Sukhatal near Kumaon University campus and other open spaces available around the lake city, added Rawat.
In order to decongest vehicular rush in the lake city, all the heavy vehicles coming from Haldwani side will be parked at Hanumangarhi, while the same coming from Kaladhungi side will be parked at Sukhataal, further said Nainital district administration officials.
At the same time, Nainital district administration also asked district police to strictly deal with traffic law violation cases.
