The anger of bank employees against the shortage of cash erupted on Tuesday when they held a protest outside the local office of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Theydemanded that the RBI should ensure availability of cash in the banks.
The general secretary of the Uttaranchal Bank Employees Union, Jagmohan Mehendirata said the Centre had given assurance that the problem of cash availability would be sorted out in 50 days but the problem still persist due to which the employees of bank are bearing the brunt of anger of customers. He said that the RBI should ensure total transparency in its operations. large number of bank employees participated in the protest.
