Enforce uniform civil code, says Narshinganand Saraswati

SK Tiwari

As the second Hindu Sansad was held here in the auditorium of Rishikul Medical College, Narshinganand Saraswati said that uniform civil code irrespective of caste and creed should be enforced immediately in the country. He also said the present band of politicians of the country was least bothered about the Hindu culture and heritage that had been smarting under the onslaught of hostile time.

Varun Singh, convener of the Sansad, said India had been moving haltingly as there was no clearly- defined agenda or roadmap for it in tune with the greatness of the country’s culture and its glorious future as envisioned by the seers and the saints. He slammed the previous UPA regime for fissuring the society on communal lines by announcing special package for the minorities. Unfortunately, the present Prime Minister has proved no different. He said the Centre should declare India a Hindu country as India had remained a Hindu nation over millennia. It would be just as most of the countries across the world have opted for either Christian or Islamic identities when it comes to define the cultural characters of such nations. Mahant Narayan Giri from Gaziabad said that saints were the real custodians of Hindu heritage. The politicians are non-entities and the Indian culture continues in spite of them, he said. Over three hundred seers and saints representing different organisations from 12 states assembled  here.
