Amid the ongoing lok Sabha election process, submission of medical certificates by a large number of employees to avoid poll duties, has come a cause of serious concern for the Almora district administration.
Keeping in view of busy election schedule it is not possible to examine so many medical certificates at this juncture as it is affecting the poll related works, said Vinod Kumar Suman, District Magistrate, Almora.
However, as he said, the official concerned have been asked to set up a five-member panel under the chairmanship of the Chief Medical Officer, Almora, to conduct health examination of those poll personnel who wish to keep them away from their polling duties.
On the basis of the medical report of the said medical board, it will be decided on which health ground basis a polling personnel is not able to do the polling duties, added the District Magistrate, Almora..
