To pressure the State Government over their pending demands, including rectification in the existing pay anomalies, scores of Government employees under the banner of State Employee Joint Council, Uttarakhand started boycotting their works from Friday, adversely impacting works at the Government offices. The protesters also sat in demonstration in support of their demands.
Employees assembled at Vikas Bhawan and Secretariat and slammed the State Government for not addressing their demands. The protesters said that they have submitted several memorandums to the State Government through administrative officers but nothing has happened so far, prompting them thus to start the work boycott stir.
The association president Prahlad Singh said that all the Government employees have boycotted their works.
