All efforts will be made to improve and develop sports as an avenue of employment, said MlA Khatima Pushkar Singh Dhami while giving away the trophies to the winners and runners-up on the concluding day of Maharana Pratap Open Volleyball Tournament held at Kutri , Gramsabha on Saturday.
Sounding confident that Uttarakhand would make India proud in the realm of sports in the coming days, he said the children here taking advantage of the facilities provided to them augurs well for the State. “Besides, participation in sports helps the people to remain hale and hearty in both body and mind. From our end, we pledge that we would not be found wanting as far as efforts to boost sports in the region is concerned,” the MlA said.
Final match was played between Baguri and Tharumudia. Tharumudia won the trophy.
