The education director R K Kunwar has directed the department officials to update the Annual Confidential Report (ACR) of teachers.
In a letter written to the additional directors of Garhwal and Kumaon, Kunwar said that the ACR of all Licensed Teachers (LT) and Lecturers should be completed till 2019-20 so that they can be produced when needed for promotions. It is pertinent to mention here that the process of promotions of many teachers has got affected by incomplete ACR. In the promotion of teachers from LT to lecturer a list of eligible candidates is prepared on the basis of the ACR. Every year the ACR of the teachers is submitted in three copies to the Principals concerned. However due to lack of proper upkeep these ACRs are not maintained due to which the promotions of teachers become affected.
The Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh (RSS), the organisation of government schools Lecturers and LTs has also taken up the issue of the incomplete ACR.
The association believes that delay in promotion due to incomplete ACR is a failure of the department due to which the teachers are forced to suffer.
Taking note of the complaint of the association of teachers, the director has now asked the department officials to ensure that ACR of teachers is updated.
