While inaugurating an awareness programme “Andhre Se Ujale Ke Aur” focused on removing malnutrition as part of ‘Nutrition Campaign’ under National Nutrition Mission at Aanganbari centre, Badkuli Malasi on Monday, the additional chief secretary in charge of women empowerment and child development Radha Raturi said that the main objective of the programme is to remove malnutrition and to make the general people aware about the ill- effects of malnutrition.
She also distributed take home rations as part of nutrition campaign to the beneficiaries on the occasion.
She said that the women empowerment and child development department has lighted earthen lamps at each Aanganbari centre on the occasion of Diwali festival. The pregnant and lactating mothers and some children participated in the programme and pledged to remove malnutrition.
