PNS

The Dinesh Shahra Foundation (DSF) has claimed that it will develop a Rudraksha Vana (a forest of Rudraksha trees) in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.

The announcement was made by the chairman of DSF, Dinesh Shahra in Rishikesh on Friday in presence of Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Parmarth Niketan.

He claimed that a team of forestry experts from DSF would be deployed for location identification and creation of a blueprint for the development of the proposed Rudraksha Van in Uttarkashi. Apart from ecological benefits, the initiative will create employment in priority sectors for the locals and help promote tourism in the region, he said. About 10000 saplings of Rudraksha would be planted in the area selected for the project.
