A case of dowry death was reported in the Raipur Police Station on Thursday. Ishwar Vihar resident, 32 year old woman Archana died after being administered poison by her husband and in-laws, alleged her family members who later gheraoed Raipur Police Station demanding arrest of her husband Suresh. The process of filing an FIR was on while this report was being filed.
Raipur Police Station in-charge SS Bisht said that body was recovered and sent for postmortem examination. Archana has been ill for the last two days. On Wednesday, her condition deteriorated. She was admitted in a hospital in Tehri but was referred to Doon Hospital due to her critical condition. She died before reaching Dehradun and her body was brought to her in-laws’ house at Raipur. Her family members also reached Raipur and alleged that Archana was poisoned by her husband and in-laws. They gheraoed Raipur Police Station and demanded FIR be lodged against Suresh and his family members.
