Dovals roped in to campaign for Satpal Maharaj

PNS

One of the presumed Chief Ministerial candidates of Bharatiya Janata Party, Satpal Maharaj who is locked in a tough electoral contest with Rajpal Singh Bisht of Congress in Chaubattakhal assembly constituency has roped in son and nephew of National Security Adviser Ajit Doval for campaigning.  Shaurya Doval, the son of Ajit Doval is an alumnus of london School of Business and Chicago University and heads the India unit of an investment company. His cousin Mirinal Doval is a businessman. Though there is no official confirmation of the proposed campaign of the duo it is learnt that they would campaign for Maharaj on February 10.

It is pertinent to mention here that the NSA Doval belongs to Ghiri village of Pauri district. He commands respect among the people of the area and by inviting the son and nephew of Doval campaigning, Satpal Maharaj want to cash on the popularity of senior Doval.

Rajpal Singh Bisht of Congress is giving a tough fight to Maharaj in Chaubattakhal as BJP’s rebel Kavindra Ishtwal is expected to eat into the votes of BJP.  Incidentally it is for the first time in his political career that Maharaj is contesting an assembly election.
