Eleven Doon School boys accompanied by their teacher Piyush Malaviya visited the Indian parliament recently.
The idea was to watch parliamentary proceedings to give the students an experience of what happens in the parliament and also meet MPs from different parties to know their views.
The lok Sabha sessions were adjourned very soon. However, they were fortunate to meet MPs across party lines including four MPs who are “old boys” from the Doon School.
Three of them had been taught by Mr. Malaviya .The four MPs are Dushyant Singh (BJP) Raghav lakhanpal (BJP) Kalikesh Singh Deo (BJD) and Bhartendu Singh (BJP).
They also had two long interactive sessions with Rahul Gandhi president of INC and Harsimrat Kaur Badal -Minister of Food Processing (Akali Dal).
They also had interactions with Jaya Bachchan (SP), Supriya Sule(NCP), Meenakshi lekhi(BJP) and Dharamvir Gandhi(AAP).
