Young and talented local footballer Nitin Jyal will train at a leading football academy in France. Jyal landed in France on Sunday and is all set to start his training camp at FC Metz Academy in Metz city for duration of more than three weeks from Tuesday. The FC Metz Academy is renowned for developing players like Robert Pires, Emmanuel Adebayor, Cisse and louis Saha.

A student of the Maharana Pratap Sports College, Jyal, is a regular member of the India team since 2009. He has represented India in three age category (under-13, under-14 and under-16). Jyal was selected for IMG Academy Florida (USA) in 2010-11 for nine months and for six months again in 2012. After undergoing coaching in US, this Doon footballer will now learn the finer points of soccer in France.

Principal of the Maharana Pratap Sports College, Manoj Sharma said, “It is a matter of great pride that one of our students will get train in France. We are grateful to FC Metz Academy and Edukick Sports Pvt ltd for helping local football gain valuable exposure.”

The credit for making the French tour of the local footballer possible goes to Edukick Sports, the football company which also operated local soccer club FC Doon in Dehradun. last year, the company conducted a visit of Denis Schaeffer, Director of the FC Metz Academy, to Mussoorie and Dehradun. Denis accompanied by his under 17 chief coach Sebastian visited Maharana Pratap Sports College and were impressed with the local talent. The French coach spotted Nitin and were keen on grooming him. The entire cost of Doon footballer’s Franch visit is borne by Edukick and FC Metz Academy.
