The clash among the city bus operators took a new turn on Friday when the president of Dehradun Mahanagar City Bus Sewa ‘Mahasangh’ (DMCBSM), Vijay Vardhan Dandariyal threatened to take legal action against the operators who recently claimed to remove him from the post of president and formed a new union. Dandariyal called a Press conference on the day to explain his position.

He said that the Presidents of eight out of the 12 route unions of the city are standing firmly with the DMCBSM. He even paraded these route Presidents before the media. Dandariyal said that some of the bus operators had left the association in past and formed separate union. He said that the claim made by office bearers of Dehradun Mahanagar Bus Sewa Association Mahasangh (DMBSAM) to dissolve DMCBSM is false and mischievous.

Dandariyal even threatened to approach court on the issue which according to him has taken a mental toll on him.

On July 31 some bus operators blamed Dandariyal for perusing his personal vindictive agenda against the police and transport department officer due to which the bus operators are facing problems. These operators suspended the old association and formed a new one.

they found such a large number of without ticket passengers in the bus. The conductor reportedly paid a sum of `3000 to the inspector immediately and promised to pay rest of the amount at Roorkee. It is also learnt that these inspectors had a dubious past record but due to good political connections they managed to wriggle out of any uncomfortable situation.

The Deputy General Manager (DGM) operation, Deepak Jain said that the role of two inspectors who boarded the bus to check at Muradnagar and failed to take any action is under scanner. He said that an inquiry headed by the Divisional Manager Operation has been constituted and appropriate disciplinary action against the guilty would be taken.

The General Secretary of the Roadways Karamchari Sanyukt Parishad Ram Chandra Raturi has demanded that the stern action should be taken against the culprits in the episode. He said that such incidences are enough to throw light on sorry state of affairs in the public carrier.
